The Barcelona History Atlas holds a mirror up to the city toexamine its times and its spaces. It is structured in three parts. The first tours the connections and continuities in Barcelonas historical trajectory, addressing the options and the contradictions of its elites and majorities. Each chapter has a general text that enables us to examine, simultaneously, exhibits from the Museums collections, a cartographic approach to the citys urban structure, the geopolitical vision of the time, a specialists point of view on a decisive question of the period, and a look at contemporary landscapes. The second part deals with strategic issues of 20th-century Barcelona. The third, shows the new network organisation of the Barcelona History Museum, a new museum for citizens, with 55 exhibition rooms located at 19 heritage sites all around the city.
